Karena Corona, Google Classroom menjadi Media Utama Pembelajaran di SDI

Sekitar pada bulan Maret tahun 2020 seluruh warga di dunia dikejutkan dengan suatu wabah Virus corona atau yang disebut dengan Covid-19 menjadi pandemi dan entah sampai kapan wabah ini akan berkahir. Sehingga pemeritah melarang untuk belajar di sekolah dengan adanya peraturan tentang larangan untuk siswa belajar di sekolah, tujuan di larangnya masuk sekolah ini agar para praktisi pendidikan tetap sehat dan tidak terkena virus corona.

Setelah diadakan musyawarah terbatas dengan para guru, Kepala Sekolah SDI butuh suatu media atau wadah yaitu sebuah aplikasi untuk mendukung kelancaran belajar dan mengajar meskipn dari rumah, maka dalam rapat tersebut sepakat SD Islam At-Taqwa untuk memlilih Goolge Classrom sebagai media pembejaran.

Google Classroom atau dalam bahasa Indonesia Google Kelas adalah layanan web gratis, yang dikembangkan oleh Google untuk sekolah, yang bertujuan untuk menyederhanakan membuat, mendistribusikan, dan menilai tugas tanpa harus bertatap muka. Tujuan utama Google Classroom adalah untuk merampingkan proses berbagi file antara guru dan siswa. Wikipedia

Lalu Bagaimana Google Classroom diterapkan di SDI?

Meskipun dengan jumlah kelas yang banyak yakni 18 kelas tetapi tetap terorganisir dalam satu akun Gmail sehingga administrator dapat memantau aktifitas guru dan peserta didik.

Dalam perjalanan dan perkembanganya pembelajaan online selama ini ternyata tidak selalu menggunakan aplikasi buatan goolge tersebut, tetapi juga menggunakan aplikasi penunjang lainya untuk memperlancar aktifitas belajar mengajar, seperti Whatsapp untuk media komunikasi, Zoom Meet dan Goolge Meet untuk media tatap muka atau penjelasan materi, Quiziz untuk pemberian quis interaktif dan lain-lain.
